I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (KJV).
The amplified version: I have strength for all things in Christ who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].
Paul says he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. THIS MEANS THAT THERE ARE NO LIMITS. Paul says he does not have any limitations because of the Christ in him. He further uses the expression ‘I can…’, because he has the ability, which is Jesus Christ, to execute any task. Our ability is not based on who we are, but on the Christ in us. The bible in Hebrews 4:14-15 says we have the high priest who has passed all. The bible further informs us that we have the Christ in us that means if we have the Christ in us, then we have overcome all things. For that reason, the secret is in the source, which is the CHRIST who dwells in us.
If a Fiat Punto can pass the Mercedes Benz in a race, it would seem very unusual. People would ask if the engine of the Fiat Punto has been amplified. Therefore this demonstrates that our ability to be successful depends on what we have inside. The secret lies on the source of power, for us, it is the relationship we have with the Christ. It does not depend on how many times we shout ‘Hallelujah’ or ‘Amen’. It only depends on the Christ in us.
There are certain things that happen to us which we did not plan for, but they do happen. For example we can wake up one day and realize that our husbands or wives are involved in an affair, or we realize we have just lost our job. However when we plan, we can have provision for our plans. It does not matter anymore whether planned or not, because as Paul puts it, there is one who is the author and the finisher of our faith; Christ Jesus. As such we don’t need to plan to get things done because he is able to do all things through me. Paul says the only thing we need to do is to show up, and humble our selves, because our relationship with Christ will overcome all things. Paul says this life we live is not ours, if Jesus cannot fail in life then I cannot fail. If Jesus did not get sick in life then I cannot get sick. If Jesus did not become depressed in life then I cannot get depressed. THIS MEANS THAT THERE ARE NO LIMITS FOR THOSE IN CHRIST JESUS.
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU.
