Psalms 32:8-9 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee
As the saying goes, there are many ways to skin a cat the same way there are many ways to learn the same lesson. There are many ways for a horse to get to where the owner wants it to be, it can be the hard way or the easy way.
I have been discussing this same issue with my wife for the last couple of weeks about how usually believers don’t learn things the easy way except the hard way. For us it started with an uncomfortable feeling in the heart, then dreams which doesn’t make sense at a time. We just talked about it as if its nothing until it all started coming to pass after few days or weeks. We had to learn it the hard way that any time one of us begins to have an uncomfortable feeling it means there is something evil ahead which we need to pray against.
God says in the above scriptures that He will teach us the way we should go, we don’t have to be pulled or forced in other to get to where He wants us to be. We don’t need to be tricked neither do we need to go through pain to understand where God wants us to be. Imagine if the horse could understand exactly where its owner needs it to be and knows exactly how to get there on its own there will no need for the owner to put bridle in its mouth.
You don’t have to go through multiple heartbreaks to find the right person to marry you can just pay attention to the voice of God, you don’t have to move from job to job or from one place to another in other to find the right one, you can just trust His voice to lead you. Oh how many a times we have ignored the warnings of the Holy Spirit and headed straight into a disaster. If we follow those simple nudges and prompts from the Holy Spirit I believe we will have more victories in our daily lives than we are having right now. You are not a horse so don’t learn like one, you were created after the Father so just follow His voice. He has great plans for you it doesn’t involve heartbreak or disappointment. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
