Last year, the Lord gave gave us advancement as the word of the year 2013, when I announced it in church there was so many excitement in the atmosphere I also mentioned the challenges that will hit the body of Christ in general especially in Ireland.
I am compelled to write this article because those things are happening everywhere and we need to know what God has said concerning what we are seeing among christians. God told me that in this year things will be tougher than the previous years irrespective of what they say about the economy, the church in particular is going to face many challenges because it has become clear that we the body of Christ are constantly growing in the knowledge of God’s promises and blessings of prosperity which defies what the world is saying.When people are brought low and you say, ‘Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.(Job 22:29) So if the believer is in the same struggle as the unbeliever it makes it easier for the enemy to spread fear everywhere.
God said many churches will face many challenges, those playing church will have to make a stand because the more God blesses the angrier the enemy becomes. So if we give him a foothold anywhere in our lives he will make every good use of it. Am seeing it all around these days, believers and leaders in the kingdom of God facing difficulties thats distracting them from the call of God. Church attendance everywhere is going down for many reasons which all boils down to what we are talking about here. Members are becoming tired and frustrated daily because of what they are facing, leaders are frustrated because they are not seeing the answered prayers as they want to see in the life of church members.
This is not the time to be discouraged or distracted, this is the time to buckle up and pray. I believe most believers around are facing challenges they’ve never seen before, I have gone through some myself but it has only made me stronger and dependant on God. I believe this is the time for us to spend more time with God in prayer and studying the word. God spoke before time to let us know that tough times will come to everybody but those who know their God shall be strong and will do exploits.
Look around you, its happening to almost every believer you know but the word of God is sure. Don’t bail out, don’t go down with the crowd you have a sure word from God saying when others are going down you shall be lifted up. This is the time for christians to take their stand, the bible says after you have done everything to stand stand firm. This is not the time to start blaming anybody or looking for excuses, if there is anything in your life that needs fixing please fix it, if there is any changes that needs to be made please don’t hesitate because the scripture say those who knows their God they shall do exploits. In this season of lifting up don’t let anything stand in your way, clear the path and prepare for upliftment.
I declare upliftment in every aspect of your life in the name of Jesus, may every door shut against you be opened in Jesus. Your time has come to be lifted up. See you up there.
